There is a wealth of walking around Weymouth. The most famous walk is the South West Coastal path. It is England's longest waymarked footpath and a National Trail stretching for 630 miles. However, if you don’t fancy doing it all in one go there are some lovely parts of it you can do around Weymouth: South West Coast Path

Below are links to some more walks:

Alternatively just walk along the Esplanade to Greenhill Gardens or Bowleaze cove, or head in the other direction along the greenway to the ruins of Henry VIII’s Sandsfoot castle and the beautifully secluded Castle Cove beach.

Like walking, there are almost endless routes available. If you need bike hire: Weymouth Bike Hire

With fantastic scenery around, even if you’re having a bad round there’s still plenty to enjoy. We are blessed to have a number of excellent courses right on our doorstep.

Weymouth Golf Club
Just over a mile away is Weymouth Golf club. Founded in 1909 – this James Braid designed course epitomises his early philosophy around shot strategies and includes many of his subtle doglegs. Set in the centre of Weymouth yet enjoying magnificent views of the Dorset countryside and Jurassic Coast.

Camedown Golf Club
About 6 miles away, Golf World magazine named Came Down Golf Club among their 100 “Hidden Gems”.

Bridport Golf Club
Further afield, Bridport (approx. 17 miles) is another fantastic course. The signature hole, the 6th, is only 129 yards long but has an elevation of over 90 feet with one commentator rating it in the top 100 holes in the world.

Weymouth offers some of the most diverse sea angling in Britain and also plays host to many national and international competitions.
